Our 2026 Vision and the Power of Worthiness
To our Cowgirl Soccer families, fans, and community,
As we step into a new year, we’ve been doing a lot of reflecting. If you’ve followed Crook County Girls Soccer for a while, you know our journey has been anything but a straight line. We’ve experienced the mountain tops—like our record-shattering 2023 and 2024 seasons—and we’ve navigated the steep climbs, like our recent transition into the toughest 5A conference in the state. We faced elite, year-round club programs, weathered injuries, and navigated the growing pains of a young roster.
While the scoreboard showed a 1-10 record, our internal compass shows something entirely different: Tremendous growth. We are a program that refuses to be defined by a "1" in the win column or the labels of "inferior" from our competitors. Our vision for 2026 is to prove that human potential isn’t defined by a win-loss column. We are elevating this program by redefining what it means to "win."
The Pillars of Our Elevation
To elevate our program in 2026, we are doubling down on the four pillars that build elite humans, not just elite athletes:
Attitude: Set the Tone. We show up ready to learn and embrace every challenge with optimism. A positive attitude is a fearless opportunity to turn mistakes into growth.
Commitment: The Unwavering Promise. It’s the dedication to "Work Hard" physically, mentally, and emotionally, even when the transition to a harder conference gets uncomfortable.
Effort: The Power of Being Fearless. We give 100% to every sprint and every drill. We encourage courageous mistakes because that is where the breakthroughs happen.
Heart: Play for Her. This is the soul of our team. We ask our players to find the little girl who first fell in love with the game—the one who played for the joy, the laughter, and the pure competition. When the pressure of 5A feels heavy, we tell them: Shut out the chaos and Play for Her.
The "Futsal" Revolution
The evidence of our rising culture isn't found in a trophy case yet—it’s found in the gym on cold winter nights. Last year, we struggled to get 1 or 2 girls to attend winter Futsal Open Gyms. This year, we have consistently seen 10 to 20 female athletes on the court. In a town without the same "club soccer" resources as wealthy 5A schools, this is how we close the gap. These consistent touches, the camaraderie built in the off-season, and the sheer love for the game are the building blocks of a program that can—and will—compete at the highest level.
Join Us on the Court The work is already happening! Winter Futsal Open Gyms are every Sunday at the CCMS Gym from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. It is open to all girls—just bring water and a friend. This is where the "buy-in" begins.
The Pursuit of Excellence: The Varsity Experience
We believe that to perform like an elite program, you must first feel like one. This is why we are committed to elevating the "Varsity Experience" for our athletes. In sports, high-performance gear is more than just a uniform—it’s armor. When our girls walk onto a pitch against powerhouse schools, they shouldn't just feel like the "scrappy underdogs" from a small town. We want them to feel the weight of their own worth. Providing professional-grade gear and a unified look is a physical reminder that their heart, their high GPA, and their 100% effort are worth the highest investment. When an athlete feels respected and professional, their confidence shifts. We are working to ensure that every girl in our program carries herself with the pride of an elite competitor, knowing that she has the support and the tools to match her ambition.
To provide this experience and close the gap between our program and the year-round club schools, we have set a fundraising goal of $20,000. This isn't just a number; it is a direct investment in these athletes. These funds will cover:
Professional Equipment: New match balls for JV and Varsity, a rebounder goal for skill development, and a new set of corner flags.
Athlete Support: Practice shirts and socks for every player to keep participation costs low for our families.
The "Film Room": A field camera for athlete highlights (vital for college recruiting) and game film review.
The Heart of the Program: Helping to support and retain our incredible coaching staff.
How to Join the Movement: Our 2026 Call to Action
For us to continue to grow and create these life-changing opportunities, we need a total "Buy-In" from our community. Here is how you can help us elevate:
For the Players: Keep Showing Up The growth we see at Futsal is the foundation of our success. Keep coming, stay consistent, and bring a teammate along. Leadership starts with you—let’s build this together.
For the Parents & Fans: Get Involved We are building a culture that extends beyond the sidelines. We need your help to:
Foster Connection: Host a World Cup watch party or an off-season team-bonding event to keep our girls connected.
Build the Pipeline: Come out to the Middle School games and cheer on the future of our program. They need to see the family they are joining.
Drive the Mission: We are looking for volunteers to help find, create, and/or run fundraisers (from the Rodeo, Field Signs, to Local Sponsorships). Every dollar goes toward giving these girls the gear and the experience they have earned.
Want to invest in the Grit? We have set a fundraising goal of $20,000 to cover everything from our new Hudl recruiting camera and coaching staff to practice shirts and socks for every girl. Whether you want to see your business on a 4’x8’ Field Sign ($500) or simply want to cover a player's game-day socks ($100), every bit of support tells our girls they are worth the investment.
