  • REGISTER WITH CC

Registration is a mandatory requirement for participation in all sports within the Crook County School District and under Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) guidelines.

Online registration for the upcoming season opens on August 1st. While you can register starting on this date, please be aware that school administration will not return to process registrations until August 7th.

  • TRAIN THROUGHOUT SUMMER

Tryouts aren't the time to get in shape; you should already be in shape when you come out. This isn't just about performing your best, it's also crucial for preventing injuries. We highly recommend you start training throughout the summer to prepare.

To make this easier, we provide our athletes with "Work Hard. Be Nice. Believe." Journals and the Rally Plan. The Rally Plan includes a comprehensive 12-week running and resistance training program designed to get you ready for our fitness evaluations. These evaluations include the Mile Run, Cooper Test, Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test, and the ability to play an 11v11 game at pace without substitutions.

Here are some opportunities to get touches on the ball and get in shape this summer:

  • ATTEND PARENT MEETING

Join us for our Fall Parents Meeting on August 18th before the evening tryout session! We encourage both athletes and their parents to attend this important session.

This meeting is a great opportunity to meet our athletic director and coaching staff, learn about our program philosophy and culture, and receive your copy of the program handbook. We'll go over expectations for all roles within the program, hand out schedules, and answer any questions you may have.

It's also a fantastic chance for parents to connect with other families and become part of our soccer community!

  • TRY OUT

We're excited you're interested in joining our team! Tryouts are a crucial step, and we want to make sure all new athletes and parents understand the process.

    Tryout Dates & Times

Double Sessions on Monday & Wednesday
Morning Session (Fitness & Technical Evaluations): 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

    Evening Session (Tactical Evaluations):
    6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Tryouts will focus on observation and evaluation by our coaches, with minimal coaching during sessions.

    What to Expect
Fitness Evaluations: These sessions assess your physical capabilities, including strength, power, speed, and endurance. Expect tests like the Cooper Test, YoYo Shuttle Run, and Mile Run.

Technical Evaluations: We'll observe your ability to move and manipulate the ball with both feet and legal extremities (head, chest, thighs). Drills will focus on Dribbling, Ball Mastery, Juggling, Passing, Receiving, Soft Touch, and Shooting.

Tactical Evaluations: We'll assess your understanding of the game, initiative, and decision-making on the field, including your Positioning, Defending, Attacking, and combination/group play.

    How We Evaluate
Our evaluation is holistic, considering both skills and character. We use the following categories and grading system:

Technical: Ability to move and manipulate the ball.
    Tactical: Understanding, initiative, and decision-making.
Psychological: Effort, mindset, receptiveness to criticism, and ability to grow (Coachability & Focus)
Physical: Strength, power, speed, endurance, and ability to maintain performance when tired.

We look forward to seeing you at tryouts!
